Once upon a time, a little girl with a head full of bright blonde curls named Gigi went into a museum. She fell in love with every piece and the world they opened up for her so much, she never wanted to leave.

I would like to say that Bougigi was created when I began posting on Instagram in 2023, or created this site in 2024, but that’s far from true. I fell in love with art history before I can even truly remember and it has been a love affair from which I don’t want to depart ever since.

Bougigi is my love letter to art, making it accessible for everyone regardless of education or financial background. Art has the ability to unite cultures, peoples, and ideology in one room encouraging people to speak and engage but not mandating it. My hope for this page is this: that you feel welcomed to explore these places, to share them with your loved ones and view them as a sort of refuge if needed.

My aim is to make art and its history accessible, easy to engage with and aid in its understanding.
